When using Pro-E Wildfire 3 through Intralink 3.4 it randomly locks up & I have to reboot, this usually happens whilst using my Space Pilot Pro.
I don't think it's a problem with the Space pilot, but I want to eliminate it from the possibles.
I'm using a Dell M4400 laptop with Nvidia Quadro FX 770M graphics & 4Gb of RAM
The laptop is running XP Pro 64bit & 3Dx V3.7.18, we tried installing the latest version from the website but when opening Pro-E we had an error message stating the 3Dx ProENGINEER application failed to start.
The version of Pro-E is M250
There are 2 other laptops running the same set up but they are using Space Navigators & don't seem to have problems.
Any ideas as to the solution?

Re: Pro-E Problem
Hi Veerod,
unfortunately we have no experience with Intralink. Which version of ProE 3 are you using?
Is ProE started from a server? Then please see this article in our FAQ.
AND ... if you have a SpacePilot PRO (and not one of our legacy devices) you should clearly update to the latest software. Currently we have 3DxSoftware v 3.14.2 on our download site available.
I recommend to do a full clean-up and re-install.
Please let me know if you see an improvement with the newer software.

Veerod,
please check if the file referenced in your protk.dat file (usually: C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxProENGINEER64\wf5\x86e_win64\obj\3dxproe.dll) is at the specified location. The error message you get indicates that ProE can't find it.

sorry, I made a mistake. Please check the path in the file protk.dat in your ProE installation folder in the subfolder "text". As far as I know this is the one that is read by ProE while starting. Do you have that file in the specified folder?
