Space Mouse Pro & Solid Edge ST4, MP6.0

Post by jcb »

The driver for my Space Mouse Pro, driver v3.15.5 doesn't want to load when I start Solid Edge ST4 with MP6.0 (Maintenance Pack 6.0), installed.
Running on:
Dell Precision 6600
8GB RAM
Intel Core i7-2640M CPU @ 2.80GHz
64-Bit Windows 7 Professional

Here are the screen shots.

After I "start" the driver from the start menu, I get the dialog window that says "Could not load transport DLL s80trans.dll"

Any suggestions?

Hello jcb -

Solid Edge is reporting the 3Dconnexion driver has not started but it is likely not connected to what is causing the error.

The error "Could not load transport DLL s80trans.dll" happens when there is a security or anti-virus application is blocking the s80trans.dll from starting.

You can create exceptions in security software for the executable - 3dxsrv.exe. [C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxWare64\3dxsrv.exe]

On a personal PC you can disconnect from the internet and temporarily turn off the firewall and security applications to verify where the conflict is. On a network PC an IT tech would be needed.

You can use one of the installed demos to see that the driver is running before starting Solid Edge.[Start,All Programs, 3Dconnexion,Demos-Jet Demo]
