Poser Pro 11 not working...

Post by cbowen »

I am unable to use my SpaceNavigator in Poser Pro 11 (64 bit). This is a new install of Poser Pro and I have installed the most current 3dconnexion drivers. I have been using the SpaceNavigator for years and it works fine in all other applications including 3ds Max and Maya on my machine, so this is specific to Poser Pro. I can only zoom in and out using the mouse, which appears to just be an emulation of the mouse wheel behavior. The Poser Pro settings dialog box does come up. The default settings have only the one axis enabled. If I turn them all on, it does not matter. But, if I select either of the two zoom direction options, the mouse does not even zoom anymore.

Hello cbowen,

which driver version do you have installed?

Try an older version from our archive. For example 3DxWare 10.3.0. I assume that you encounter the problem that those application where we do not provide a default configuration are supported only with our KMJ (keyboard - mouse - joystick) protocol . This is a bug in 3DxWare 10.4.4 and we are tracking it with our internal bug number #7224. It will be fixed in our next driver release.

Hi,

make sure you start the driver and SketchUp with the same user rights. Usually the driver and the application have to be running at the same level. Normally a regular user. If one is elevated, windows security will prevent the lower level one from talking to the higher level one.

In addition verify if the addin for SketchUp is installed. In SketchUp go to Window -> Preferences -> Extensions and see if you have an entry for "3DxSketchUp" and if it is activated.

Let me know what you find out.
