3DS Max move locked camera

Post by Alpenshiva »

Hi 3Dconnexion Team!
Driver Version 3DxWare64_v10-6-0_r2972 is the last that works correctly in 3DS Max with Space Pilot Pro.
Since then it is possible to move a locked camera in orbit.
This is annoying, since there is no undo command for this bug.
Please fix this in your next release.
Thank you, AS

This is still very much happening. So annoying that you lock cameras, later accidentally hit the space mouse and camera is moved and it ctrl+z doesn't work. Better hope you have saved prior to that so you can reimport camera from same file. This hasn't always been like this.

Hi all,

we are tracking this issue with our internal bug number WIN-563. We expect this to be fixed with our next driver release (3DxWare 10.6.5).

Locked cameras are still moving with 3dxware 10.6.5. (3ds max 2020 and wireless spacemouse)
Or am I missing some setting?

Please give us a testcase so that we can reproduce the issue.

Only target-cameras are moving. Even if target locket too.

Yeah, I'm getting the same too on 10.6.5, physical camera moves when locked but only if targeted, if not targeted it remains locked.

I found another interesting bug. It happens with not locked cameras when automatic vertical tilt correction is on. It even happens when the driver is stopped. Only uninstalling helps.

thank you for reporting this I have been having this problem for over a year and it is killing me. as soon as you introduce lens shoft to a physical or corona camera then when you save file, or do anything while in the camera viewport it shifts on it's own, the slightest touch of the nob send the camera shifting a large distance. I have three 3d connexion units one of them is the latest most expesnive one and they are all expensive paper weights now after a whole year and several versions of the drivers doing this max 2020.3

We're tracking this as WIN-621 and the fix is expected to be delivered in v. 10.6.6 of 3DxWare 10 by mid-April.
