Hello,
we are in NX V1880 since last week and had some problems with the Spacemouse Pro.
For this version of NX there is no folder available in the latest driver of 3DConnexion. So I just copied the folder v1872 and renamed it to v1880. All variables has been set and loaded correctly by NX.
But trying to customize buttons 1 to 4, there is no NX application available:
I tried all folder from v8 to v1926 but it doesn´t work. But one thing is a little bit crazy. While starting NX, the NX application will be shown in 3dConnexion configuration overview.
Anybody knows that issue?

I'm afraid the developers at 3Dconnexion don't have enough time to develop all corresponding plug-ins for all releases of NX CR(continuous release cycle) and get them tested for incompatibilities issues. In your case, you either have to install v1872 or v1899, or even v1926, v1880 is not supported by 3DxWare 10.7.0.

Re: NX V1880 - SpaceMouse Pro latest driver
It's not the problem, it's just that the 3DxNX.dll file is not compiled based on the NX v1880's NX NXopen++ library.UtaSH wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:43 amHello m2privat,m2privat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 5:08 am Hello,

Re: NX V1880 - SpaceMouse Pro latest driver
This is wrong. NX series 1872 (which includes 1880) is supported since 3DxWare 10.6.3 released in September 2019.
The current driver - 3DxWare 10.7.0 - supports the 1926 series.
This means 3DxWare 10.7.0 supports all NX versions from NX 8 up the series 1926.

Re: NX V1880 - SpaceMouse Pro latest driver
Have you really tested 3DxWare v10.7.0 on NX v1880? Remember the pulled off the shelves 3DxWare v10.6.8 driver? The keyboard emulation is broken on end user's PC.
For the NX thing, actually I happened to have the opportunity to test the latest v10.7.0 on NX v1892(belongs to 1872 series), I lent one of my SMEs to one of my friends to try the SME out. As the test showed, 10 out of the 12 Intelligent Function Keys were assigned as NX modeling commands, while in fact they can not be activated in NX modeling workbench.
Check the below screenshots for yourself. The 3DxWare v10.7.0 just doesn't recognize the NX menus/commands as it does on the 3Dconnexion Viewer, no NX menu/commands whatsoever. The 6DOF cap works.
Re: NX V1880 - SpaceMouse Pro latest driver
Hi m2private,
Each driver update addresses a new range of NX continous release versions. For example, 3DxWare 10.6.8 was the first version to support NX 1927 and lower. The specific NX versions luping mentions are just major "milestone" versions of sorts. There is no gap in support. You should have full functionality with your device in NX 1880.
In order to help I first need to know what 3DxWare version you are running. You can find this by going to the 3Dconnexion Settings panel. This can be accessed via the home, by going to Start > 3Dconnexion > 3Dconnexion Home > Settings.
From there, click the "More >" button and choose "About." A new window will appear and a 3DxWare Version should be listed. Please let me know what you have.

Re: NX V1880 - SpaceMouse Pro latest driver
NX v1880 is actually a bug-fix release for NX v1872, NX v1892 is a bug-fix release for NX v1872 with more bugs being fixed as well, even more stable for production use. Usually the initial major/milestone releases come with lots of bugs, it's so bug-ridden that it's not suitable for production environment deployment, instead the following bug-fix releases are used in real world production environment. In this case, NX v1880, as well as v1892.Zach wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 2:21 pm Hi m2private,

What m2privat complained is that 3DxWare detected NX workbench partially, the shown Intelligent Function Keys in the SMP 3DxWare control panel Buttons window(1-Edge Blend/3-Revolve/4-Hole) do not support NX commands to be activated, they just appear to be there while in fact do not support the NX modeling commands. For SME with 3DxWare v10.7.0 x64 in NX v1892 modeling workbench, the following commands can not be activated:
3-Revolve
4-Hole
5-Pocket
6-Block
7-Boss
8-Cone
9-Cylinder
10-Sphere
11-Edge Blend
12-Chamfer
It also not possible to change the assignments of Intelligent Function Keys for NX commands, the sub-menu for the Intelligent Function 3-12 simply show no NX application and its sub-commands. I suppose 3Dconnexion developers don't know how unstable the v1872, v1899, v1926 releases are. So please add support for v1880, v1892, or other bug-fix maintenance releases.
Re: NX V1880 - SpaceMouse Pro latest driver
Sorry for my late reply...
The latest 3DxWare 10.7.0.3248 is installed.
I am Key-User, so I am actually testing all kind of version of NX. As I know, switching to the latest NX version means, the parts will not be downward compatible.
