XP64 - 3dOffice worked on 5000 but not SpaceExplorer

Post by TEngle »

I have a XP 64bit machine that had a 5000 usb.
The office plugin worked fine.
Now I have a new SpaceExplorer usb and the office plugin will not work.
I uninstalled both drivers before adding the SpaceExplorer.

Hi TEngle,

The Microsoft Office plug-in, 3DxOffice, is not longer in active development. It it still available but only "as-is".

3DxOffice is only supported in 32-bit systems and it is not compatible with the driver software for the SpaceExplorer on x64 systems.

Your SpaceBall 5000 USB driver is probably an old version for 32-bit which can be run on x64 systems.

Will 3DxOffice ever be back in "active development"?
It is very annoying to be able to use the Space Explorer in SW, but not in MS Office apps.

I also agree ... I would very much like to see the 3Dx Office app. continued, as it is very handy for large spreadsheets in Excel.

Please consider (and forward) this request to continue support for the 3Dx Office application.

Respectfully submitted -
