I just tried this regedit on a new system using the 3.5.6 driver. The reg value is in the Options folder instead of the higher level as orginally indicated.

Unfortunately I can't bring the Z axis move back by changing the SubPartMoveAlongZ to "1".

Has the driver changed recently?

Looks like the change occurred between 3.5.5 and 3.5.6

Is there a place I can find 3.5.5?

Hi Carltonium,

3DxSoftware v. 3.5.5 is no longer available but do note that it includes exactly the same add-in for SolidWorks that in 3.5.6.

If you open the Add-In Manager in SolidWorks, you should see the "3Dcontrol" add-in listed with version 2.11.0. That version includes the change to allow "sub-part" movement along the zz axis.

Is there a seperate puzzle and assembly demo? If so, how do I get to the puzzle? I can only do the assembly.

Hello SantitheGreat,

the puzzle demo is still installed as far as I can see, but no link is created for it. You should find it in the installation folder of the 3Dconnexion driver, subfolder 3DxWare\3DxWinCore64. Name puzzle.exe.
