Hi,
Please try the following:
Copy

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxAutoCAD2007\3dxautocad.arx -> C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acadm 2007\

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxAutoCAD2007\3DxAutoCAD.chm -> C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acadm 2007\Help\
Then copy the following folders to your AutoCAD Mechanical-installation:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxAutoCAD2007\toolbar\icons -> C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acadm 2007\Support\

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxAutoCAD2007\toolbar\en-us -> C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acadm 2007\Support\

Then start AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 and click on “Assist – Load Application”
Browse to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Acadm 2007\ , mark “3dxautocad.arx” and click on “Load”
Then click on close

Does this procedure help?

Our IT guy came down and ran about 3 different registery/computer cleanup program on my PC. So far (knock on wood) my Space Navigator has been working without crashing in AutoCAD Mechanical 2007.

I'll post updates if this situation changes.

thanks for your assistance.

Well, that didn't fix it either. I still get the fatal error.

AutoCAD has the possibility to create dumps after a crash.

Please send these dumps to the address you will find in your inbox.
