Adoobe Reader 8.1 on Mac

Hi,
Please could someone clarify how to get SpaceNavigator/Traveler working with Adobe Reader 8.1?
The press release for PDF Support on Mac links to a page about Blender which seems unrelated to PDFs and makes no mention of it.
Any help greatly appreciated.
