Drivers and AutoCad 2005

I have been using a Space Ball for many years. I am now having issues that the new drivers do not support Acad v 2005. I found an older version of the 3dx driver in my history files. Upon installation the driver loads but the toolbar menu unloads immediately.

I would appreciate and suggestions

I have downloaded and installed plugin per your direction. When I start Autocad the following commands are processed:

Regenerating model.
AutoCAD menu utilities loaded.
Command: _appload

Upon AutoCAD startup the driver loads but the toolbar menu unloads immediately. I have tried to load manually, but get the same unload sequence.

I guess it would be ok if I could set the regen to auto without the toolbar. Is there another way to set the regen?

Uninstall pre-2007 add-in and then delete all remaining acad3dx.* and mgl3darx.*, especially acad3dx.mnl and mgl3darx.mnl, under AutoCAD 2005 installation folder including the sub-folders. Then install the newly downloaded version again.
