spaceball 4000FLX and Spacetraveler3 on same system

Post by lewis »

I run Inventor 11 and Autocad LT. However I would like to use the 4000 at work and the Spacetraveler at home. I cannot do this unless I reinstall the software every time I switch. I also cannot get either to operate with Inventor AND Autocad LT during the same session.

Please help!!

You have 2 different devices you would be limited to using the 5.8.2 driver. No guarentee the driver will work with Inventor 11.
Autocad LT Does not allow Addins, so you would not be able to get the devices to be recognized.

5.8.2?? I see 2.8.2 and have tried that. It only recognizes the spaceball, the traveler is inoperable.

Open the 3dcontrol panel click help and about.
Driver version is 5.8.2. (2.8.2) is the installation package number.

Does the 5.8.2 driver recognize the traveler?
Test by opening a demo.

Inventor doesnt require a plugin to recognize the device.
Try uninstalling the inventor plugin then retry.

Thanks, it works fine now. I think I had tried to just re-install instead of un-installing the Traveler software and then re-installing the spaceball software.
