SpacePilot :: Display went out!

Post by gilu »

Hello there!

I have a problem!
On my SpacePilot went the display out! Buttons work, LEDs work everything works but the display!
Fun fact: Any other SPs' display won't work on my computer!
I've reinstalled the driver twice now; as I was told by the knowledge base -> http://www.3dconnexion.eu/support/kb/?V ... EntryID=28

I also have tried to use a different USB connection.

No change! The display remains black. Allthough, there is a dim light to be seen. When I boot, it will flicker - but nothing can be read!
And, YES, it does work on another PC!!?!?

Has someone seen this issue before?

Windows XP x64 SP2, Driver 6.6.1, Release 3.6.6

Ooooookeyyy.....!!!!!?!?!?
After unplugging and pluggin in into another computer and plugging that thing in and out of any PC.... after plugging it in back into my computer, THE DISPLAY IS BACK ON! WTH was that?!

Should anyone have this issue, just keep plugging in and out... It might come back to life!

BTW: It was plugged in at the monitor USB hub!
Now it's directly at the PC and that made all the difference!!!

You could also open the 3dcontrol panel click on Tools,
Select white on black and then redo step to switch back this will wake up the lcd display.

Also connecting directly to a usb plug on the pc is required.

Well, that didn't work either! I tried that too! :(
But, like I said before, connecting it directly to the PC  , that worked!
