The SpaceNavigator doesn't work with Google Earth plug-in in either Firefox or IE. (check out some of the web sites using GE plugin at: http://www.gearthblog.com/blog/archives ... gzani.html)

Any plans to remedy that?

Google Earth is natively supported.
You should contact them and let them know your interest in using your device in their additional plugins .
