Autocad 2006 odd behavior from space pilot

Post by Juicegoose »

Aight guys i just installed all my software and updates to run my spacepilot on Autocad 2006 and i have a problem. It seems that when you switch the styles of zoom available it also switches the order the axis are presented in the advanced settings. Now this normally wouldn't be a problem but when you use the zoom option of up and down then the pan only and zoom only button are all hosed. What happens is this, lets say you have the zoom option set to up and down movement. when you now hit the pan only button it doesn't deselect the zoom because in the menu the zoom and pan have switched positions hence you basically have a pan only that gives you zoom and pan left/right. Have i confused enough people yet? please someone help me get this taken care of!!!

Aight guys i just got off the phone with 3Dconnexion. Just for reference i'm running
Windows XP SP2
AutoCAD 2006
Space pilot with drivers 6.7(or latest ones from the site i think 6.7 is right)

I was told by the tech guy that the drivers i had installed had come out today or something and that it obviously was a mistake in the software. I"ll try downloading the latest before the latest as my cd has 3.3 on it and give it another try.

I believe this is indeed a bug when you switch the zoom orientation. The only fix is to use the Advanced Motion panel to turn off/on the correct individual axes.

Seems like it be a pretty easy fix. To be honest thats a crap answer to tell me that it's a bug that hasn't been fixed and been present since v3.3. For me to buy a 400 dollar 3d mouse and have the software have such a bug as that is ridiculous. I've already spoken with my Employer about holding off the order for more of the ed mice until it's fixed so it's nothing but lost profit to you guys!!
