In Pro/E my mouse is very very slow

I need help.
I just installed my Space Navigator on my Pro/E Wildfire 3 running on windows XP 64. i have a HP wokstation with dual xenon processors and 8.0 GB in RAM.

if i turn the driver "on" my Space Navigator works Excellent, but the mouse is very slow, almost delaying 3-4seconds when i hit a command button until the command is executed, the same when selecting a point or edge,
if i turn the driver off, the mouse starts working normally again, what could be happening? i just installed the newest version of the driver

I'll appeciate your help into this issue resolution.
