SpaceNavigator jumps suddenly to other position

Post by Eddie »

Hi All,

We've 3 users working with the SpaceNavigator in NavisWorks Review 2010.
1 user has an problem, sometimes the 3D mouse jumps suddenly to another, random position. It Looks like an interference problem, just like using an optical mouse on a wrong surface.
We've already exchanged the SpaceNavigator from another user, wich have no problems. But still not solved. Also disconnected all other USB devices to exclude interference, also calibrated the device.
The problem appears random.

Is this an known problem? Can this be solved?

Thanks in advance,

Eddie

NavisWorks Review 2010

Post by Bryan »

Dear Eddie,

NavisWorks Review 2010 is not an application that we know of as being designed to take advantage of our devices in their user interface, so the results you may experience are unknown. You may want to contact NavisWorks as to what results you might expect from using our device in their application.

If it appears to be working on other machines and not on this one. You may want to look to differences to their security software. You may also want to check on differences in the release versions of 3DxSoftware in the 'About' item under the 'Help' Menu.

Sincerely,
Bryan
