3Dmouse library redistribution/listing as compatible product

Post by Nihit »

Hi,
We at Ansoft Corp. are trying to make our product HFSS compatible to 3D mouse and have completed the coding part.

We would like to know what is the standard procedure for a product to become compatible to a 3D Connexions mouse while still working without any errors on machines that do not have any 3D mouse driver installations or its libraries.
Do we need to re-distribute the 3D connexion libraries along with our product? In that case what are those libraries? Or do just we need to suppress the CoCreateInstance error that appears when it is not able to connect in our code but fail that call everytime?
Would we need to keep some libraries in our source control to facilitate compilation by other engineers who do not have any 3D connexion drivers or software installed?
Also what would be the procedure and requirements to add our product into the list of products mentioned as compatible to the 3D mouses in the 3D connexions documents?

Thanks,
Nihit
