Looks to have been a windows bug, I cleared all my customistations and macros (sigh) and all the tools have returned.
The most recent 3Dconnexion driver is absolute hot garbage. Cannot put mouse clicks with any modifiter keys and cannot put commands between key down and key up actions.
The macro maker also duplicates the commands you build for radial menus and you cannot put mouse button commands in the radial menus...

I have found the issue.
The new driver macro editor will not incorporate pre-built macros for 3rd party software...
How the hell did the software engineers at 3dConnexion miss all of this?!!!
In their attempts to make things "simple" they have completely broken user capacity to properly configure the hardware
