Spacemouse creak sound

I have a space mouse for a few years and I love it. But lately I started to notice that is has some creaking sound when operating. Like rubbing leather. Any ideas how to remove it? maybe some lubricant? Don't want to spoil it

You can try with the lubricant. The other choice is to buy a new one.
