Lock cap motion to axis in Fusion 360

Post by awright117 »

Hi I am a new user with a Spacemouse Pro Wireless and I am trying to figure out id there is a way to configure it to work the way I would like with Fusion 360.

I am hopping to connect a given movement of the control cap to a give axis within Fusion 360. For example if I am looking at the TOP view in Fusion and I tilt the cap to the left or right it will rotate the part around the Y axis of the part and if I then change the view to the FRONT view and tilt the cap to the left or right it will continue to rotate the part around the Y axis of the part? The way it seem to work out of the box is that a given cap movement is tied to an axis that is always from my view perspective and not the part perspective.

Is this something that is possible? Maybe configurable in the Fusion XML? Sorry if this is obvious and I am missing something.

Thanks
