Shift-Numpad Button?

I'm wondering if it would be possible to add modifiers to the numpad buttons? These buttons are very powerful, the 3Dc driver is so powerful I have this keyboard for more than just 3D modeling (also musical notation as I'm composer on this project too), and I'm really in need of just a few more buttons on the numpad in particular. I keep on hand on it and the other on the 3d mouse/piano keyboard which is a comfortable and elegant workflow.

Specifically I mean having modifier key layers

• B1 Does X
• Shift-B2 Does Y
• Alt-B3 Does Z (optional)

At least one extra layer would be great

I like that idea. I've heard it before.
Unfortunately, it can not be done at this time.
I'll keep it in mind and make a change request for it.
