Support for Web Browsers?

Post by petrbroz »

Hi,

Does 3DConnexion officially support accessing its devices' inputs from web applications?

I've found a sample that's supposed to do exactly this (https://3dconnexion.com/technical_suppo ... reejs.html) but it doesn't seem to be working. The web app tries connecting to https://127.51.68.120:8181/3dconnexion/nlproxy, and after a while it fails with ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED. I've been trying the webpage with a SpaceMouse Wireless, on Chrome/Windows as well as Chrome/macOS.

Moreover, there's another forum post that talks about this feature working in older versions of Chrome: https://forum.3dconnexion.com/viewtopic.php?t=52578.

Thank you!

In all likelihood, the "3Dconnexion Navigation Library Server" component is not installed or not running (process "3dxnlserver.exe").
