Spacemouse enterprise is slow

Hi. I recently upgraded from a SpacePilot Pro to a Spacemouse Enterprise.
In general I like it but I am having one issue that I hope you can help me fix.

The device itself seems much slower than the Spacepilot was.
What I mean is, when I switch between environments the Spacemouse Enterprise takes a second or two to change its screen/button options.
For example, with the old device I could create a sketch in Inventor and when I was finished the sketch I would hit a button on the spacemouse to exit the sketch and then hit another button to extrude or create a hole or create a new sketch or whatever. I could do this without any delay.
On the Enterprise however, if I exit the sketch I have to wait a second or two for the device to update its available options.
I know its only a couple of seconds but its really interrupting my workflow.
Is there anything I can do to increase the speed at which the Spacemouse Enterprise transitions between environments?

Mac or PC?
Have you update 3Dconnexion software?
If a PC I would disconnect all USB connected but the Enterprise and test
Few years ago had a similar problem on a PC with an USB Hub, disconnected the Hub and Spacemouse was working perfectly
