pan and zoom

This is a great product.
is there any way to use the space navigator as a simple pan and zoom tool in non supported software such as internet explorer, Word, Excel, etc...

You can consider installing our 3DxOffice product. You can find it on the Archive section of the software download page.
Do note that 3DxOffice is no longer being actively supported.
