I'm experiencing kind of the same problem in Mechanical Desktop (AutoCad 2007). In "free mode" I can pan and zoom, but can't rotate. And I can't find a way to get it work. The only way that it's functioning is after I've activated the "3D-orbit" manually (in AutoCad) and then use...
