NX rotation doesn't work

Post by AlexCom7 »

Hello everyone,
I have an issue with my SpaceExplorer because in NX the controller cap doesn't work (rotate/tilt/etc), but the buttons are fully functional.
I have to mention that this happens only when I open NX through parts from TeamCenter. When I open NX locally, the cap and buttons have no problem working.
I saw a topic on the 3Dconnexion page forum: "https://3dconnexion.com/uk/support/faq/ ... -a-server/" but it didn't do the trick. Probably I was not implementing the changes correctly in the ugii files.
I installed both 10.6.4 and now I have 10.4.3 but the issue stays the same.
What can I do in this case?
Please help me because I got so used to my SpaceExplorer that it's hard for me to work in any 3D software now without it.

Take NX 1980 for example, do the following steps if possible:
Copy two folders under C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxNX\ugii_dir\v1980
to folder
C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX1980\UGALLIANCE\vendor

By the way, request your employer to invest on a new 3Dconnexion 3D mouse model, like the latest SpaceMouse Enterprise/Pro Wireless/Pro. SpaceExplorer is quite outdated, latest 3DxWare driver support for this model is discontinued, see https://3dconnexion.com/uk/support/faq/ ... d-devices/.
(Full disclosure: not in any way affiliated with 3Dconnexion, I'm only an end user of 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse model and CadMouse model.)
