Every time I start up my iMac it tells me that it cannot find the mouse. The USB Mighty Mouse just flashes continuously while the computer searches for a bluetooth mouse. All I need to do to get it to work is to disconnect either the mouse or the SN, then it finds the mouse, even if it's not plugged in. Once reattached it all works normally.
The SN is connected to the left side of my USB keyboard, the Mighty Mouse, on the right.

This sounds very much like a hardware/power problem to me. Keyboard hubs are bus-powered and not always top quality so the keyboard may be one source of trouble. I would suggest the following tests:
1. Try to connect the mouse and/or the SN to a USB port on the iMac itself, and see if the problem goes away.
2. Try to connect the keyboard to a self-powered external USB hub with its own power supply, and see if the problem goes away.
