once the driver for photoshop cs4 is fixed, which has been out for almost 3 months now, im hoping there can be some forward movement in premiere cs4 to work, that this device doesnt work with premiere is shocking really, and to say the software maker has to work with you in incorporating the device to work...well, if adobe is working with you, albeit painfully slowly, in photoshop and acrobat, then why wouldnt they work with you in making premiere work too. it seems more like its just not been brought up to them, for surely they wouldnt say 'sorry guys we will let your device work only with photoshop and acrobat, but never premiere'...

This is a "bug" and can be fixed by later updates.
