Dear xfile2k

There is no 'Plug-in' per se for BodyPaint 3D R3. It would just use the normal 3DxWare drivers that are installed with 3DxSoftware for 3Dconnexion mice.

You may find the drivers on the 'Driver Download Page' under the 'Support Menu' on our 'www.3dconnexion.com' web site.

Sincerely,
Bryan

Dear unlord213

Exactly what version of 3DxSoftware are you using?
(In the '3Dconnexion Control Panel', look for the 'About' Item under the 'Help" Menu.)

What computer do you have?

What version of BodyPaint are you using?

What operating platform, operating system are you using?

Does your SpaceNavigator work okay in the Jet Demo?
(Start, Programs, 3Dconnexion, 3Dconnexion 3DxWare, Demo, Jet Demo)

Dear unlord213,

What are you experiencing in Body Paint?

Are you receiving error messages?

What behaviors in Body Paint are you looking for?
What behaviors are you observing?

im not getting anything from the spacenavigator. im not sure if i need to tell bodypaint to look for input from the navigator or what. i was thinking it would move the camera, just like in maya, xsi, 3dsmax, etc.

Behavior of BodyPaint 3D Demo - Release 3 10.504

Post by Bryan »

Dear unlord213,

I'm not sure what behavior Body Paint has programmed their application to take from the input of our device. It does look as though our device is working properly as you have experienced in the Jet Demo. I do not know of any particular settings that Body Paint requires. I would not be too surprized if the demo did not take advantage of our device. Most often the lite version of applications do not. You may want to contact your Body Paint Support and/or Help Features.

Sincerely,
Bryan

ok I could get it work :D I just asked my friend how to activate it.

1 go to Window> Space Mouse > SpaceMouse Dialog
2 check "Enabled" box

My setting was enabled already but after I uncheck and recheck the box, it worked!

hope this helps :)

Enable Only the Motions You Want

Post by Bryan »

Dear voodoofox,

In the 3Dconnexion Control Panel, under the Advanced Settings Tab, you can pick and choose among the six different motions for the ones you want activate at any one time.

This, for me, is partially correct :)

I need to open the SpaceMouse Dialog window to activate the device, but the device stops functioning as soon as I close this window. I need to keep the SpaceMouse Dialog window open all the time.
