Hello,
I've got a Space Navigator PE which I mainly use in Second Life. Recently I started having instances where they whole computer would lock up and nothing would function, mouse, keyboard, etc. Eventually I realized that it would happen when I was using the SN within Second Life. I disabled the SN for a few days and the lockups stopped. I downloaded and installed the latest drivers and reactivated the SN again. Within a few hours I again locked up the machine, but this time noticed the problem occurred when I touched the SN after having been away from the machine and I got a static shock when I touched the SN.
Is there any fix or recommended method to prevent this problem in the future?
Thanks,
Jerry Collins
Space Navigator PE causes full system lockups.

Hi Jerry,
The SpaceNavigator complies with the standard requirements regarding electrostatic discharge (CE, FCC, UL). These discharges can happen and it seems as your computer does not like them - at least the computer should not crash.
There are many articles in the internet that cover these sort of problems and how to avoid them. Electrostatic discharge is, especially in winter, not unusual
