Recently when I load up 3ds max 2009 64 bit, my SN doesn't work. The driver is loaded, I even try manually loading it. In order to get it working I must close 3ds max, and reinstall the SN driver. Does anyone know a possible cause for this, it's very annoying.
thanks in advance

Hi Artesiastp,
Do you use Vista? It may be that some "security-settings" are causing this error. Does it work if you do the following?
A) Stop 3DxWare driver
B) Start the driver as administrator
If this helps you can always start the driver as administrator ( Click Properties, and then select the "Compatibility" tab. Under Privilege Level, select "Run this program as an administrator").

yes that worked, thank you.
What's weird is it has worked fine for months, then suddenly stopped and I had to reinstall every time I restarted the computer. Still worked in Maya too, just not in 3ds even with the driver loaded.
I browsed to the .exe file for the driver and checked run as administrator, so it should do it by itself each time I restart.
Thanks again!
