AutoCAD plugin not working
For some reason, I can't get my SpacePilot to work in AutoCAD 2008. I've tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling, and I made sure it installed the AutoCAD plugin. When I open AutoCAD, I don't see the 3Dx toolbar, and the SpacePilot isn't able to pan/zoom.
First, make sure the SpacePilot is working outside of AutoCAD with another application or the installed demos.
To manually install the AutoCAD add-in:
Open AutoCad 2008 ,go to:Tools/Load application.Browse to:C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion 3DxSoftware\3DxAutoCAD2008
Select 3dxautocad.arx and click load.In the "Startup Suite" , enter the 3dxacad.arx to automatically load the 3Dconnexion add-in.
If there is something causing this process to not work, the problem is usually be some type of data corruption which can be resolved by a Clean Install . This is different than uninstalling/re-installing the 3dconnexion software, since a standard re-install retains 3Dx registry entries and folders.
