I just reinstalled sw on my pc and am trying to restore my 3d connection device to where i was.
I am using windows xp sp2, with a space pilot on Solidworks. Used to, I could open up my 3dconnection control panel and see several programs in the configuration list drop down. The one I am interested in in Solidworks. When I am in solidworks, my spacepilot LCD says solidworks...but when i go to change the zoom/pan arrangement, i get a different config page. I used to be able to go change the "Solidworks" configuration before...If I open up the 3dconnexion w/solidworks closed, get "Any Application" in the list.
Can you help?

Application not showing up in my 3D connection control panel
Hi pmccrorey
Please use the functions of 3DxSolidWorks (the Plug-In) instead of using the functions of 3DxWare (the driver). The Plug-In settings have higher priority and any change you will make in the Plug-In will be transferred to the driver, which will store these.
The Plug-In offers many advantages relative to the driver, the more important one is that it is context-sensitive, it will detect in which modus SolidWorks runs and for each modus will restore a button mapping previously saved. You can configure as well more profiles for each modus available (Part, Assembly, Drawing).
If you still have problems, please post here.

Where do i get the plug-in?
Hi pmccrorey
You should have the plug-in displayed (default setting). If you don't have it displayed, but a 3Dconnexion window appears as you start SolidWorks the plug-in is installed but not displayed. In order to display it you should check whether you have a main-menu point called "3Dcontrol", the first position in that menu is the "Toolbar". It has to be checked and so the plug-in toolbar will be displayed.
If SolidWorks doesn't shows such a menu (3Dcontrol), please install 3DxSoftware again (or just activate the "Update Wizard").
