Just upgraded driver from 10.6.4 to 10.6.5 and now my SpaceExplorer won't work. Have I been versioned out?

32gb
2x Quadro M4000
Maya 2019.2
Maya 2020
Vray Next Build 4.12.02

The Maya software you use costs a lot, a single-user Maya license subscription costs $1,545 /year, V-Ray for Maya subscription license costs $470/year. So why you still has no new budget to invest on a new generation 3Dconnexion 3D mouse device?

What setup do you have, Luping.

Doses everything for you always works perfectly, flawless, fast, no crashes, 100% efficiency, no driver issues, no crashes, etc.?
If that's the case I think I'm interested to upgrade to your system and I'm ready to put lots of money money on it.

However, if that's not the case, please don't be a ###### and let people try to solve their stuff.

I have already 2 devices on my desk that have been deprecated. They work fine with old drivers and old Maya. but if I want to use the latest maya I have to buy a third 500$ device.
And they worked reliably well I would probably do it to be honest. But half of the time the software that comes with it breaks too much stuff or simply doesn't work.

I really don't know how to answer that question without sounding sarcastic.
Up until yesterday, the device worked perfectly well.
You can only use one 3d mouse at a time.
So I don't own two of them.

And btw, the 3d connexion mouse, is not actually all that good imho.

When it works, it's great, but across multiple software the experience is very inconsistent. For example, in Maya everything works great, but blender and unity the implementation is very poor and in Zbrush (one of the most important pieces of software in the games industry) it doesn't work at all.

Add to that the garbage, bug ridden 10.6.4 driver, which actually destroyed geometry in scenes while saving. Then the obvious enforced obsolescence of 10.6.5... And I'm really not sure the device is worth another $500.

If you only use one piece of software, then maybe, but for a games pipeline, or any pipeline which includes significant Zbrush use, it's probably not worth it.

To answer the original question, you are correct. 10.6.5 does not support the SpaceExplorer. 10.6.4 was the last software release to support it.
Here's a web page with the current schedule.

The panel mentions version 10.5.6 or newer.

According to jwick, you should be able to use v. 10.6.4 and older with your SpaceExplorer USB. Older versions are available from the "driver archive" linked from the main download page.
