3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
After upgrading to 3DxWare v10.6.6 with clean installation, there apparently seems like the number keystrokes in SpaceMouse Enterprise don't support Firefox 75.0 64bit, except number 1 and 2. 3-Refresh/4-Copy/5-Cut/6-Paste/7-Align Window Left/8-Align Window Right/10-In Private Browsing/11-Find On Page/12-Fullscreen are all not functioning.
I also tested it on Microsoft Edge v81, as well as Windows 10 Explorer, Align Window Left/Align Window Right not working.
If there's no active application window, the 4-Taskmanager/6-Settings/12-Lock Screen keystrokes are dead.
While in 3Dconnexion Viewer, all 12 number keystrodes are working without any problem.

One of my friends tested 3DxWare v10.6.6 on his recently subscribed AutoCAD 2021, the ESC/SPACE/ENTER/DELETE keystrokes are all dead on his SapceMouse Enterprise.
Please retract this version and do deeper testing of compatibility issue with various CAx on your working/testing PCs.

Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
Hi luping,
I just took an SME, launch Firefox 75 on my dev machine and selected the text on the browser's address field. I then used the SME buttons 5 and 6 to "cut" and "paste" the text. It seems to work just as expected: the text is deleted and then copied back in, just as if the user had done a "Ctrl-X" shortcut followed by "Ctrl-P".

I reported several issues, not only on Firefox 75.0 64bit. Let's see if there are more issues about this 10.6.6 version to come(new forum posts about the 3DxWare v10.6.6 issues).
I just uninstalled v10.6.6 and reverted to v10.6.5, so far so good.

Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
It appear all these are caused by the same underlying issue: the keyboard emulation is broken in 10.6.6 and shortcuts do not work. Interesting that we cannot see this on our development machines (it has to do with how Windows picks up drivers for newly created device nodes).
We are tracking this as WIN-651.
Thank you for taking the time to reporting it.

Version 10.6.6 do not work completely in any application. I have CadMouse. Version 10.6.5 works fine.
Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
Retract this version from the 3dx website drivers download page, there will be more bug reports and complaints if you don't close the v10.6.6 download link ASAP.ngomes wrote: ↑Tue Apr 21, 2020 12:22 pmIt appear all these are caused by the same underlying issue: the keyboard emulation is broken in 10.6.6 and shortcuts do not work. Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
So far the v10.6.7 for my testing shows the problem/bug/issue regarding keyboard emulation is fixed.
Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
Thank you for checking the fix for bug WIN-650.
We are sorry for the inconvenience WIN-650 is causing to our customers. We expect to release 10.6.7 before the end of this week (by April 24).
Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
We have stopped the distribution of version 10.6.6.
Version 10.6.5 has been reinstated until we publish a update with a fix for WIN-650.
If you have 10.6.6 installed and wish to continue to use it, you can do so. To recover the keyboard emulation, open the "Device Manager" and you will find a "unknown device" with the hardware ID "{FDDD50EC-FBF4-4507-97B6-5F56D7548692}\HID_DEVICE". Update the driver for this device to the files found in the directory in the "Drivers > 3DxKMJ > Win64" sub-directory of the software installation (normally C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore64"). You will then need to "Stop 3DWare" and "Start 3DxWare" again or simply reboot.
Our recommendation is to wait for version 10.6.7 which we expect to be soon available for download by week's end.
Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
A little off topic, but I have the same issue.
Solidworks 2020 - CTRL/Shift/ESC/ALT - are all gone completely. Some of the other button functions work, but they are buggy. After I use a radial menu, I get odd click behaviour. Sometimes I will use the radial for a command then click in an area and it acts like a doubleclick or right click. I can't nail it down, but it is different.
2 releases ago started the odd behaviour. The latest release lost the ctrl/shf/esc/alt.

Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
Hi Crabeboy,
That's bug WIN-650 and it will be resolved in version 10.6.7 of 3DxWare 10.
This seems unrelated. It may be a hardware issue with your CadMouse (spurious button clicks). I suggest that you reach out to our technical support team and them look at it.After I use a radial menu, I get odd click behaviour. Re: 3DxWare v10.6.6 problem with Firefox 75.0 64bit
We're going to need a few more days before we can publish version 10.6.7.
Sorry for the delay.
