Hello,
does anybody know if it is possible to zoom, with the spaceexplorer, by following the tip of the "normal" mouse?
Thanks!

Zoom what? In what program? Or should we consider it something like screen magnification?

Zooming into a 3D CAD program, such as SolidWorks or SolidEdge.

It zooms to the cursor by default. I have noticed that there's a setting in the SolidWorks plugin that will try to keep the model within the display, so it snaps you back if you try to zoom in so far that the rotation point of the model is outside the display area. If you disable this option it works just fine.
I've used it in SolidWorks 2007, 2008, and SolidEdge V20
