3DS Max 2008, Vista x64 and Spaceball 5k

Hey.

I have a slight problem here. Im currently using Windows Vista x64, and 3DS Max 2008 x64. I have a Spaceball 5000, with serial port, if that means anything.

My problem is that i cant get it to work inside of 3DS 2008. Is it beacuse im using Vista, or desent the Spaceball support vista? When i downloaded the drivers, it sure said so, but anyways.

Also i need a plugin for 3ds, and know how to configure it.

Perin,
3Dconnexion software for 3D mice with a serial port connector (RS-232) is available only on:

Windows 2000 SP4
Windows XP RTM and all service packs (32-bit only)

Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (64 bit) and Windows Vista (all editions) are not supported by the software for serial devices.

Also the driver is no longer being updated.
