Pilot or Explorer

Post by Billabong »

I have decided to buy one of these pilots but cant decide on which one, I use 3ds max 9 and Cinema 4D, I like the pilot, and I don't mind spending the extra money, but I just want to know if the pilot is only useful in cad products, or will i get its full potential in in the programs I run.or should i go with the Explorer Thanks very much for any help

Pilot or Explorer

Hi Billagong

The SpacePilot offers extended functionality, it has more buttons and an own display which shows some status information and settings. The SpaceExplorer has on the other hand an ergonomic design and you can attach as well some application functions...

I believe the SpacePilot is though a better choice for really professional users.

Thank you for replying, so Basically all the functions of the pilot can be utilized in the programs I said I used?

Hi Billabong

Yes, you could use in both programs both devices. You can map different functions to the available buttons however they are some limitations: some buttons have dedicated functions attached.
