SpaceBall 5000

Post by hodgey »

I have a Spaceball 5000, (USB).

The optional (removable) palm rest causes me problems when positioned under my palm (closest to my arm), and I find it difficult to use the spaceball without it due to it's weight (too light).

When I reverse the plam rest, the orientation automatically reverses due to Left versus Right. I also read this somewhere, when trying to figure out why, but there is no software setting (I can find) to change/reverse orientation.

How can I reverse the palm rest WITHOUT the orientation being automatically reversed?

Can I disable the internal sensor (magnetic?), via software settings?

I find no config or .ini file in Program Files>3dconnexion, so where and how would I do this?

Thanks for the help!

Dear Hodgey,

In our newer driver versions you can go into the 3Dconnexion Control Panel and under the 'Advanced Settings' Tab select the directions reversed that you want by placing a check next to that direction.

Sincerely,
