Using XP Pro computer, running current versions of 3DX driver and SketchUp Pro. Mouse works fine when viewing, say, jpg's opened on the desktop, and it appears everywhere you'd expect it to in SU (e.g. its own toolbar is there, it's listed under Options, etc.) But it will not work in SU in any sense - can't navigate with it at all.
I don't think I'm doing anything dumb - the mouse worked fine under SU 6 and the old 3DX driver for a long time, so I know what 'should' be happening.
Help appreciated - I can't work. Thanks.
Jim
3D mouse works fine, except with SketchUp Pro v7 - help!

Hi jimRedfield,
You probably have an older version of 3DxSoftware installed on your system.
You can find the latest version for your 3D mouse here.
Google SketchUp 7 support was added in version 3.6.11.

sames problem, new computer
Now I have a brand new, fresh out of the box Lenovo XP Pro computer, a brand new copy of SU Free (downloaded today), and a brand new install of the 3Dx mouse (from original disk, then updated online today). The mouse STILL doesn't work with SU, although it does work with its own picture viewer.
I have to believe the problem is not here, but is instead, with 3Dx and its integration with SU.
Doesn't anybody in Tech Support at 3Dx have an answer for this? I can't believe I'm the only person experiencing this problem. This is the second computer on which this problem has shown up (the other is a high end Area 51 beast, which I posted about earlier).

Version Numbers and Toolbar
Dear jimRedfield,
Open the '3Dconnexion Control Panel'. Under the 'Help' Menu open the 'About' item. What 'release version' do you find listed there?
Open 'SketchUp'. Under the 'Help' Menu, open the 'About SketchUp'.
What 'version' number do find listed there?
In the 'Help' File under the '3Dconnextion Extension for SketchUp' you will find this notice. (Start, All Programs, 3Dconnexion)
"
3DxSketchUp Toolbar
When you complete the installation of 3DxSoftware, the 3DxSketchUp Extension will load a splash screen when SketchUp is opened.
A toolbar will also load to the SketchUp interface. If for some unlikely reason the toolbar does not load, select View --> Toolbars --> 3DxSketchUp. If 3DxSketchUp is not listed, then the software did not install properly. Please reinstall 3DxSoftware.
"
Did you notice this splash screen?
Do you find the 3DxSketchUp Toolbar?
Sincerely,
Bryan
