Solid Edge 2D drafting ST + SpaceNavigator PE + Vista

Post by dm.olivier »

Hello!

I have just installed the latest version of Solid Edge 2D drafting (v100) but 3DxWare does not seem to detect the software, just saying "3DxWare for any application".

Besides, my SpaceNavigator works fine with other software already installed on my computer: Solid Works Student Design Kit 2008 and Adobe Acrobat 3D.

Here is the description of my environment:
  • Vista Home premium SP1 on a DELL Studio 1537,
3DxWare 3.11 (Latest version on the website),
Solid Edge 2D Drafting ST (Latest version on the website).
I already try to uninstall everything, to do some cleaning and then to reinstall, without any results. I also changed the USB port for the device and performed several restarts...

What do you think I should do?

Thank you for your answer!
Olivier

When you have Solidedge open:
please go to the "Tools" -> "Add-Ins..." menu, and enable the add-in by ticking the "3Dcontrol" check box option.

If you donot see 3DControl
close all running applications and run a repair of the current driver.

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately, Add-Ins command is disabled. I am not able to activate 3d Control then.

I also tried on the version 20 but the problem is identical... any suggestion?

If the Addins folder is greyed out.
Contact Solidedge and ask if the particular version your running supports Addins.
If not ask what version does.

There are demos and student versions that donot support add-ins.
