Plugins fail to install

Hello

Install trouble with version 10.7.0 r3248

Upgraded from 3.17.8

Install fails if attempting to install anything but the basic driver, so no plugins will install.

Gives a error that it cant find the install msi's to un-install from the temp directory.

I uses solidworks 2020 and unable to use my space mouse as it requires the solidworks plug in.

Any ideas?

Hi Brian,

usually the best way is as follows:

• Uninstall any 3Dconnexion driver as far as possible.
• Reboot the machine.
• Install the old version of the driver - in your case this would be 3DxSoftware 3.17.8.
• Reboot the machine.
• Uninstall the old driver (3.17.8 ).
• Reboot.
• Install the latest version of the driver.

Do you still have the installer of the old driver? If not please contact our Technical Support Team. The colleagues will be able to provide this version.
