So I got my SpacePilot PRO yesterday and while I greatly enjoy it's features I feel that the Software might be lacking a little bit in terms of freedom of configuration.
Something that seems to be discussed quite a lot in these Forums for quite some time with no sticky Information on Updates.
Well... I was wondering if there's currently a way to reassign the movement of the individual axes to shortcuts?
Let me explain:
Next to obvious Applications like 3DS Max I'm also using Photoshop CS5 where I'd like to be able to alter the Brush Opacity or Flow using the Cap of the SPP which has to be done using a little Macro.
( at least on my Wacom Cintiq 21UX it would have to be )
This would also make it possible to also change the Brush Size currently assigned to the Twist Axis of the Cap to a higher speed.
It takes like ages for me to wait for the Brush Size to change even at maximum twist angle with the twist speed set to maximum.
( On my Wacom I assigned the Command twice to the same Hardware Button so it would double the speed, same might work for the SPP? )
Another few random Questions:
1. Where exactly are the configuration files stored for backup? I'd really hate to have to redo all the configurations after a reinstallation of Win7 64Bit.
2. Where does one sign up for the BETA of the promised new Driver I've been reading all about on the Forums? =)

Re: SpacePilot PRO Axis reassignment
Hi Durahl,
the configuration files are in %APPDATA%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\profiles. But those applications that have a 3Dconnexion plugin store their settings and button mappings in the registry. The plugins in SolidWorks and in Solid Edge have a possibility to export and import the settings.
There is no public possibility to sign up for the beta at the moment. Keep an eye on our 3DxLabs site where we will announce it if available.
