Trainer Issue...can you help?

Post by AMcK »

Hello all. New user here.

Just a quick question. Bought a new SpaceMouse Pro Wireless. Downloaded the Mac software. Opened up 'Trainer' to get the feel of the mouse. Problem is when I push down it's fine and goes down however when I push up... it goes down too. I've checked the properties and they are showing the up as up etc.

I'd be very grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction with this one please. Thanks.

I have exact the same issue. I hope to get an answer from support.
Received the Spacemouse today from Amazon.
Does anyone have a solution or a clue, cause it might be of a defective batch.

Thanks.

Sometimes, the SpaceMouse can get miscalibrated, which could lead to the issue you're experiencing.

Reset Calibration: Try resetting the calibration to default. You can do this from the SpaceMouse Settings under the Calibration tab.
Manual Calibration: If resetting doesn’t work, check if there’s an option to manually recalibrate the device by following the instructions in the software or user manual.

I solved the issue accidentally, by trying to do all kinds of manipulations. I turns out that the instructions were quite confusing for me (maybe also for other users). The answer of the support where misleading and not to the point. I was very disappointed by the support.
You just have to pull up and push down, not to the front and back… Maybe it is because English is not my native language. Also when I log into 3Dconnexion, everything is in french, while I’m Dutch speaking…
Happy end of the story thanks to myself…

Thanks Tuxvist,
At least your are talking common sense things.
The support I got from 3DConnexion advised me to log into a windows machine to do some trials. Hell no, I only have Mac!
Registration to get support was already a nightmare as it took me half a day to get registered because of some silly errors.
But now it is solved, and I’m happy again. Up to get the beast under control now…. :D
