Bricscad on Mac

Post by zoomer »

Like with Vectorworks, Bricscad Settings and usability since the Driver Model 2 got a regression.
AFAIR Vectorworks said to improve this. In case Bricscad does not ....

Is there a way to force important things like "lock horizon" from the driver side ?
like by adding entries to the App specific XML ?

BTW 1,
is there any way to use/force a common App Setting for multiple App versions of the same App ?
E.g. when I add Bricscad again, as previous entry does no more recognize Bricscad, I get a new "Bricscad v25" entry. Not sure if it would also work with a parallel Bricscad v24 installation. Not 100% sure but I might also have had problems with my Blender installations, where I have a main Blender.app plus 1-2 renamed Blender Apps for Alphas and Betas. Similar to C4D or Vectorworks versions.
I think usually the App Setting XML may primarily point to the task name like found in e.g. "/Applications/BricsCAD V25.app/Contents/MacOS/bricscad" but I am not sure if that is always the case or enough.

And BTW 2,
is there any way to get rid of non used default App entries in the App Settings list ?
I have about 5-7 main Apps that make use of my Enterprise, maybe a few secondary Apps like Safari or Mail that I may also setup. But still each time I have to search through about 50+ Apps in the list to find my Apps settings I am interested in
