Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
The best setup for 2024 and the alternative for RBC9 software. Game without having to use the 3DConnection software. This simple setup even allows more configuration to the SpaceNavigator. This has been posted several times before, I just figured I would link it to Spacenavigator for Gaming. Thanks ...

Re: I know this is possible
Hi Jim, Thanks for assisting in solving the problem :-). After a few hours of troubleshooting, I realized something else had to be creating an issue. I was using COD Black Ops and notepad to proof the code because they both used low resources and loaded quickly. Well, come to find out, COD Black Ops...

I know this is possible
I have been using RBC9’s driver and RBC9Nav configuration software since it's conception in 2010. In fact, I built a custom Space Navigator controller I’m still using today for gaming because of his driver. It’s still functional with Windows 10 as long as you are using test mode to use his drivers. ...

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
I took a second look at that exo-suit/seat controller with foot pedals setup, it appears it is all contact button controlled, no mouse XY axis. Funny thing you mention motion-sensitive seat control, I tried that before I discovered the SpaceNavagator. Here's my current setup I've been running for th...

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
mrslysly, The custom mount is a modified SpaceOrb. The SpaceOrb was a gaming product from the mid-'90s. I cut the SpaceOrb in half, added a RAM ball mount point. fabricated a mounting plate for the SpaceNavigator electronics, created a ball to cover for the SpaceNavigator puck and added the buttons....

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
Yes, Windows 10 and 7 has to stay in test mode for the driver to work. There is a method to remove the test mode text notification in the lower right corner.

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
That's great to hear jigdagod. The driver supports the following; RBC9-SpaceNav.inf device list. %RBC9_TRA.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_046D&PID_C623 ; SpaceTraveler %RBC9_PIL.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_046D&PID_C625 ; SpacePilot %RBC9_NAV.DeviceDesc% =Install, USB\VID_046D&PID_C626 ...

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
Hi bestazy17, I agree the SpaceNavigator in its current physical configuration and software does not lend it to being a good game controller and/or a 3D controller. Having to hold your hand above the knob in an unnatural position is uncomfortable and hard to control fine moments using hours on end. ...

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
I’ve been using the RBC9 SpaceNavigator driver and program since its release in January 2007. RBC9 wrote the program and driver because of the limitations of the 3Dconnections software. Those limitations still exist today in the current 3Dconnections software. Windows XP was the operating system at ...

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming
I removed the electronics form a Spacenavigator and fabricated a custom grip. I"m using the RBC9 driver and software on Windows 10 for custom gaming setup.
. I've been using this setup since 2010.

Thanks Bryan, I guess I need to reword my question. Does the SpaceNavigator for Note Books use the exact same puck (The black six-axis puck you use input control-Not the base) as is used in the SpaceNavigator? Is the puck the same physical piece of hard used for both controllers? It looks like from ...

SpaceNavigator verses SpaceNavigator for Notebooks
Does the SpaceNavigator and SpaceNavigator for Notebooks use the same controller puck? It looks like the only difference is the base size.

Saved me from spending money for writing a new driver.
Thanks RBC9, Omni and especially Zebra78 for a working Windows 7 x64 compatible driver. I was still thinking about spending money and having a new driver written, I will now look into getting this driver a verified certificate so we don't have to use the Driver Signature Enforcement Override. Awesom...
