I solved it... sorta. I thought it was a software problem with Rhino 5, so I had my friend try it with Rhino 4. Unlike me, he used the disc instead of downloading the latest drivers. The disc drivers were older but provided all the customization I desired, including the ability to set dominant mode....

Sorry for all these posts, I cant seem to find an edit button. Ok, I figured out the problem with the speed. I had to set the speed in Rhino itself, not through the property manager. Another thing I noticed is that my actual mouse navigation becomes extremely sensitive as well. Once i turn off the spacemouse, it immediately goes back to normal.
