Well, excellent job. That did the trick. Really hard to believe that you would have to go thru these hoops to get this to work, doesn't anyone test this stuff out??

Driver Version 10.5.0 Causes 3DS to fail to load
After installing the new drivers to use a space pilot pro with 3ds max on windows 10 64 bit 3DS Max is no longer able to be opened??? It flashes a quick spinner and then does nothing. Upon removal of the software it works fine. Any ideas as to why this is happening or how to fix?? Been waiting forev...
