Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

I have updated the driver as well as the firmware as suggested, now my mouse has lost all of its function. None of the light would lit up (apart from the green light at the back when plug in with a cable) and it doesnt have any movement nor any of the button works. It simply wouldnt response at all...

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

3Dconnexon has released "beta 11" (revision r3288) of the new driver for macOS. The "beta 11" build can be downloaded from the FAQ page linked here . A summary of the change history is available here . We have addressed an instability in one driver that caused Chief Architect to crash. Keystroke ac...

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

We lost the ability to inject modifier keys after support for kernel extensions was removed in macOS 11. This "injection" happen at kernel level and was just like if a keyboard was connected to the system. Until we can reimplement the feature using a "DriverKit Extension" (dext), we won't have the ...

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

Another feedback for the backlog: make all the software (except for 3Dconnexion Home) not listed is macOS Launchpad.
Very easy to implement (just change a variable in the code), but definitely not a priority.

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

One more bug found, probably this is old and already tracked too:
While invoking RM Tools, in Win hovering and keep hovering-moving on the virtual command performs it, while in macOS you have to click on the virtual command to perform it.

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

I found another bug:
I was trying to create a profile for Safari. Trying to map an RM Tools virtual button with a Type Keystroke action causes the 3Dconnexion System Preference panel to crash.

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

Is it only an issue with the "Shift" action? We're tracking a bug with keyboard emulation actions. Please confirm if the middle mouse button now works as expected on SketchUp or a web browser. Yes, seems an issue with the keyboard action. The Button 3 now works as expected in web browsers, Finder, ...

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

We have fixed several issues affecting buttons of CadMouse types. Support for SpaceMouse types is mostly unchanged. Thank you! Going to test it during this weekend. Another nerd curiosity: do you believe Apple, or probably it's better saying, industry standards will ever "kill" SpaceMouse over UR (...

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

Hi, I'm having the following issues with the CadMouse Wireless and Compact Wireless with the latest Beta driver (both still drop connection and have to be disconnected from bluetooth, powercycled and re-connected after sleep). The RM tools/views button is non-functional and the smart scroll feature...

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

Understood. We're looking at resolving the issue with button 3. Just discovered that without 3Dx driver installed what I call button 4 (under the wheel) is mapped as button 3 by default, this is fine. While the usage of other buttons depends by the software: arrows buttons are always recognized in ...

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

How are you verifying the operation of buttons 3 to 8? For example, button 3 (middle mouse button) can be checked using Terminal to paste in the selected text but how about the remaining buttons? We'd like to learn more about these use cases. I'm only trying buttons in the softwares I use most. But...

Re: MacOS 11.00 (Big Sur)

I found a bug, just submitted via the form on the support page. I post it here too just in case someone is having the same issue: CadMouse Wireless (firmware 1.11) Buttons from 3 to 7 are ignored after the beta driver installation. Turning off and back on bluetooth helps restoring buttons 5-6-7, wh...
