I was running in administrator because of frequent changes in solidworks preferences while configuring a new PC.
I decided to NOT open SW as admin to prevent the issue

Solidworks as administrator
hi Guys, a seem to have a weird one... when I run solidworks (2017 to 2020) as administrator my space mouse enterprise isn't working. the screen is showing SW but non of the buttons work nor the joystick. when I open a part/assy the moues doesn't recognize it. any ideas what is causing this? thanks ...
